Dr. Wanda Carter-Shelton is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is one of six children born to the parents of late Ernest and Pastor Dr. Eva P. Carter. At the age of 7 she became a member of Bethlehem Temple Church in Cincinnati, Ohio under the leadership of the late Bishop Elzie W. Young; former Presiding Bishop of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Church. She was called to ministry in 1979, and since that time she has preached throughout the United States.

Pastor Shelton attended the Aenon Bible College from 1997-1998. She continued her studies through Aenon Extended Bible College held at Bethel Apostolic Church, pastored by her mother, Dr. Eva P. Carter. She received her Doctorate of Divinity from Grace Inter-national College in 2002. Pastor Shelton assisted with the ministry at Bethel Apostolic Church and served in various administrative positions. She displayed her love for educating others by teaching the beginner's class through the adult class in the Sunday School Department. She was also the President of the Young Peoples Department.

While under the leadership of the late Bishop Johnnie L. Johnson (Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio), Pastor Shelton followed the leading of God and with the approval of her Pastor moved to Memphis, Tennessee in September of 2002, where she founded and pastored Power Unlimited Ministries. The ministry expanded and a second location was opened in Jackson, Mississippi in December of 2003. In August of 2006, she married Deacon Russell Shelton of Charleston, West Virginia.  She continued to Pastor Power Unlimited Ministries (Memphis and Jackson) until January of 2008, when she moved to Charleston to be with her husband. Within a matter of days, she was asked to take over New Jerusalem Non Denominational Church. For the first year she accepted the position of the Interim Pastor; after which, she accepted and continues in the position of Pastor. Under her leadership, New Jerusalem Non Denominational Church has now become Greater New Jerusalem Worship Center.

Her focus, through seminars, conferences, workshops, church services and tutorial classes is to teach, train and prepare the people of God that they may advance and be successful in every area of life. She is a highly anointed and motivated woman of God. Her vision is to see the people of God free from bondage and actively moving toward and fulfilling their destinies in Christ Jesus. Pastor Shelton is also the Founder/CEO of Wanda Carter-Shelton Ministries and her Motto is "If God can’t do it, it can’t be done!"

The Scriptures
The Bible, the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, and are the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.

There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three manifestations: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, the complete and final sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.

The Holy Spirit
The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. Man - Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God. The Return of Jesus Christ - The personal, pre-millennial, and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ is our hope and has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.

Future Events
There will be a bodily resurrection of all the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.

The Church
The true Church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, has been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head.

Baptism and Communion
Water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior, is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life. That Jesus is the Only Saving Name and whatsoever you do in word or deed it should be done in the Name of Jesus. The Lord's Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ; all true believers and only believers should share in it.
